Sponsor a Hafiz
Memorizing the Quran requires a significant amount of time and effort, and many hafizs often leave their homes and families to study in Quranic schools or madrasas. Sponsoring a hafiz means ensuring that they have a safe and comfortable place to live, access to healthcare when needed, proper clothes to wear, and sufficient food to sustain themselves. By providing for these basic needs, sponsors can help to alleviate the financial burden on hafizs and their families, allowing them to focus on their studies and achieve their goals.
How long does it take to become a hafiz of the Quran?
It depends upon the interest of the student, the skill of the teacher, and the time that both can put into the effort. In our program, it will take a total of 3 years with competent teachers, but besides this, not only Hafiz, but also tajweed, fiqh, character education, Kitabah (Arabic handwriting),Adabi Muasharat (Islamic etiquette), Siyratun-Nabi (Life of the prophet s.a.w). In other words, at the end of 3 years, your child will have all these Islamic knowledges as well as being a hafiz.
As Suleymaniye aid, we need your great support to offer this opportunity to youths. This type of charity is called Sadaqah Jariyah which means continuous, flowing, and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed.
Reward from Allah: Hifz sponsorship is a form of sadaqah jariyah, or ongoing charity, which continues to benefit the person who donated even after they have passed away. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them" (Muslim). Thus, donating for hifz sponsorship can be a means of earning Allah's blessings and rewards in this life and the hereafter.
Preservation of the Quran: By sponsoring someone to memorize the Quran, donors are contributing to the preservation of Allah's book. The Quran is a source of guidance and a light for all of humanity, and preserving it ensures that future generations will have access to its teachings. Moreover, the act of memorizing the Quran is itself a form of preservation, as the memorized verses are kept in the heart and passed down through generations.
Abdullah ibn 'Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it." (Sahih Bukhari 5027)
In this Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasizes the great importance of learning and teaching the Quran. Those who memorize the Quran and share their knowledge with others are considered among the best of people. This Hadith encourages us to support those who are engaged in this noble act by providing them with the necessary resources and assistance to continue learning and teaching the Quran. By doing so, we not only help them to fulfill this important duty, but we also gain reward for our own efforts in supporting them.
